Right now, due to a US Code it is not possible for our representatives in Congress, nor any other agency to fully audit the Federal Reserve. The “Audit the Fed Bill” H.R. 1207 would strike portions of US code, 31 USC 714, and order an audit of the Federal Reserve. We need transparency NOW. The private Federal Reserve is creating Trillions of dollars NOW and we need to know what this internally secretive organization is up to and what is on their books, as they are playing with all of our futures and value of the dollar.

HR 1207 has 44 co-sponsors as of March 26th! Ask your Representative to co-sponsor HR 1207 too! Check to see if your representative has co-sponsored the bill.

I live in Fort Collins, Colorado which is in the 4th Congressional District, and my Representative is Betsey Markey (D). I have contacted her office several time asking her to co-sponsor the bill. The answer I got was that she is not going to take a stance on the bill until and if it moves out of committee. I want her to change her mind and to support and cosponsor the bill now, and I want you to help me convince her.

Here is a petition you can download, print out, gather signatures with, and then turn in to one of Betsey Markey’s offices. This petition is asking Betsey Markey specifically to cosponsor H.R. 1207 and make every effort to seek roll call votes.

The Fourth Congressional district of Colorado is located in Northern, Eastern and Southeastern Colorado, encompassing most of Colorado’s rural Eastern Plains, as well as the cities of Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland and Longmont in North-Central Colorado, and Fort Morgan, Sterling, Lamar, and Las Animas in Eastern and Southeastern Colorado.

Most Americans believe that the Federal Reserve is part of the government. They are wrong. It is a privately held corporation owned by stockholders. The Federal Reserve System is owned by the largest banks in the United States. There are Class A,B, and C shareholders. The owner banks and their shares in the Federal Reserve are a secret. Why is this a secret? It is likely that the biggest banks in the country are the major shareholders. Does this explain why Citicorp, Bank of America and JP Morgan, despite being insolvent, are being propped up by Ben Bernanke and Timothy Geithner?

Whereas: The Federal Reserve refuses to give a public accounting of the TRILLIONS in recent taxpayer-backed loans and fiat money pumped into the banking system; and

Whereas: Congress has the responsibility to force a public audit of the Federal Reserve, and the American people deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent and the currency inflated; and

Whereas: Allowing the Fed to remain out of control and shrouded in secrecy clearly allows for abuse and the continued stealing of our tax dollars; and

Whereas: The Federal Reserve System itself leads to constant economic crises like the current housing crisis and the resulting chaos; and

Whereas: The Federal Reserve System forces fuel, food, housing, medical care and education costs upward meaning that everyone who is NOT on the government dole is forced to make do with less as the value of their money slowly decreases; and

Whereas: History shows us that riots, violence, and full-scale police states can result when people finally realize fiat money isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on and REFUSE to accept it;

Therefore Congresswoman Betsey Markey: I urge you to cosponsor Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed Bill,
H.R. 1207, and make every effort to seek roll call votes.
